Michigan Historical Museum, Lansing, is located at the historical center and Michigan library in Lansing. This museum is actually the flagship of twelve sites of Michigan Historical Museum System. There are five different type of exhibitions in Michigan Historical Museum, Lansing, which keep on changing from time to time. This exhibitions depict stories of Michigan from the prehistoric time to present day, traveling through 20th Century. There are interactive computers, hands on elements and audio-visual presentations in the exhibits. Michigan Historical Museum, Lansing, comprises of a four story atrium along with a topographical map of Michigan, which is three story in height.

It welcomes the visitors in the main entrance of the museum. There are twenty six permanent galleries and a special exhibition gallery at five levels of the building. Visitors enjoy the Upper Peninsula copper mine, 1957 Detroit Show and exploring the 1020's street stroll. These are some of the well known exhibits of Michigan Historical Museum, Lansing.
